He knows things he shouldn't about Kaz and his brother, things that were never meant for him and things the demon plucked from Kaz in an attempt to cause pain.

They're friendship hasn't been destroyed, though. The demon wasn't able to ruin anything at all and now Marcus is holding a baby named for Kaz's brother.
